Illegal immigrant deportation relief was on temporary pause

A bunch of states have complained against steps set by Obama to help some illegal immigrants avoid deportation, mainly those who were brought in illegally as kids and now have kids of their own here. Those folk were meant to be able to apply for work permits and deportation relief today, but they’ll have to wait now until they get a green-light.

Greece planned to ask for loan extension

Europe’s Greece saga continues as the Greeks want more time to pay off their humungous debt but don’t really want to have to stick to any of the conditions they agreed to when they were bailed out. Today they’re set to ask the EU for a loan extension.

US offered help to fight Boko Haram

The U.S. is contributing to a new initiative of African allies to combat Boko Haram, the violent militant group that is trying to create an Islamic state in northern Nigeria, and killed about 10,000 and kidnapped 200 school girls last year.

Iran denounced international sanctions

Iran’s leader,Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that the country will continue its nuclear program regardless of international sanctions by countries worried that they’re producing a nuclear bomb. Hit us with sanctions, he said, and we’ll hit you right back by refusing to sell you oil. Weirdly, he also claimed that the U.S. is secretly supporting ISIS.

Patrick Schwarzenegger recovered from a car chase

It transpires thatMiley Cyrus’ model boyfriend had a really weird run-in with another driver last week in L.A. The other guy threw water at Schwarzenegger’s car. He chased after his assailant, did a few u-turns, then the guy rammed his car before driving off. A mystery yet to be explained.
