Giving a nod to women’s suffrage, Democratic womendressed in white dotted the crowd tonight the nation watched President Donald Trump delivered his first address to to a joint session of the Congress Tuesday. “Tonight, our Democratic #WomenWearWhite in support of women’s rights — in spite of a @POTUS who doesn’t,” Rep. Nancy Pelosi, minority leader, said.

Specifically, the democratic representatives in Congress want to bring attention to reproductive rights, equal pay and maternityleave.
In his comments several minutes into the address, the president pushed back on the assumption that he is anti-woman, mentioning anewly-formed joint task force with Canada aimed at promoting the advancement of womenin the workplace and encouragingentrepreneurship among women in both countries.
