Eva Avila

Eva Avila, 2006 Canadian Idol winner and Beauty Ambassador for Maybelline New York; she’ll perform April 14 at the Danforth Music Hall:

Q: What products that you use make you look and feel good?

A: I use Garnier daily moisturizer and Garnier Fructis hair products. I love Body Shop Body Butter.

Q: Describe your style?

A: I enjoy seeing what’s new in fashion and then I try different looks. I love to stick to my style, which is comfy, feminine, playful and sometimes glamorous for a special occasion.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: I remind myself everyday that I’m extremely fortunate to have what I have and to be living what I’m living. I constantly think of those who don’t have half of what we do in Canada, and that stops me from worrying or complaining about the silly little things that happen.

Q: How do you stay fit?

A:I practise yoga and go to the gym as often as possible. Doing cardio clears my head and makes me feel purified. Stretching and breathing exercises are an excellent way for me to relax my mind and body.

Q: What healthy eating habits do you follow?

A: A I don’t follow a specific diet. I think that can be too risky and turn into an obsession with food. I try to eat food that is beneficial for my body. Once in a while I surrender to a small treat.

Yvan Pednault

Yvan Pedneault, actor, plays Galileo in the musical We Will Rock You running through May 27 at the Canon Theatre:

Q: What products that you use make you look and feel good?

A: Two of my three sisters are cosmeticians and I’m lucky because they help me find good products. They have turned me on to creams from Matis and Mary Cohr.

Q: Describe your style?

A: I don’t think I’m a fashion person. I like nice clothes as long as they are comfortable.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: I try to stay true to myself and make a difference where I can, taking each day at a time and being spontaneous as possible.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: I try to avoid stress as much as I can. When I foresee a problem arising, I deal with it.

Q: How do you stay fit?

A: A I try to go to the gym as much as possible. Sometimes, my bed just doesn’t want to let me go. Playing this role is the best workout.

Q: What are your healthy eating habits??

A: I drink lots of water and I try to eat healthy. (I eat) vegetables, fruits and fish… but I always find a place for a good burger.
