Alison Bowen

Alison Bowen is a general assignment reporter at Metro New York covering news and features, from the city's tightest political races to where to spot the best fall foliage. A Midwest native who now lives in Brooklyn, her work has also appeared in The New York Times and the New York Daily News. Alison has a dual master's degree in Journalism and Latin American Studies from New York University, where her thesis focused on post-9/11 counterterrorism policies and their effect on NYC immigrants. Fun fact: Alison enjoys eavesdropping on Spanish conversations and anything involving Latin America.
