Dorothy Robinson

Dorothy Robinson

Dorothy Robinson is Metro's managing editor of print and digital. Her duties run the gamut from interviewing TV personalities such as Stephen Colbert, to Poet Laureate Billy Collins to flying through the jungles of Colombia to chat with their former president Alvaro Uribe. But, her main day-to-day activities include overseeing the paper and its awesome staff. She enjoys writing about books, travel, parenting and her beloved, long-running daily column, The Word, a fun, personality-driven take on entertainment news and gossip. Dorothy is also the co-author of the humor /self-help book, "Dating Makes You Want to Die: But You Have to Do it Anyway," which was published in 2008 by Harper Collins. The book was featured in Time Out New York, Philadelphia Magazine, Daily Candy, Current TV, The Philadelphia Inquirer, her parent’s Christmas newsletter, and many more publications you’ve probably never heard of. She's appeared on CBS’s “Early Show,” “The 10 Show” (NBC morning show in Philadelphia), CN8, Sirius Radio, and is a frequent guest speaker for various organizations on the current media marketplace. You can find her on Facebook (www.facebook.com/DorothyNRobinson) as well as Twitter (@dorothyrobinson and @dorothyatmetro). When she's not helping to produce tiny news for the commuting masses, she lives in Brooklyn with her nice husband, dog and 1-year-old.
