Michael Naughton

Michael Naughton

Michael Naughton is a local news reporter for Metro Boston. His primary area of coverage is crime/courts, but he also covers general city news. Before joining the Metro staff in March 2010, Michael worked for the The Day newspaper in New London, Conn., as a town reporter and, later, crime reporter. Prior to that, Michael worked at The Boston Globe for three years as a night news reporter and co-op while attending Northeastern University, from which he graduated in 2008 with a degree in journalism. Born in Boston and raised in Jamaica Plain and on the South Shore, Michael now lives between the Alewife and Davis Square T stations. When he's not trying to perfect his chili recipe, Michael is likely watching the Bruins or Red Sox. He's also extremely proud to say that he has planted one on the Stanley Cup.
