Philadelphia is among the worst cities for men in the latest ranking of 100 cities in the United States by Men's Health magazine.
An annual report, the list evaluates cities based on 35 categories, including exercise, employment, air quality, and heart disease taken from federal data. Burlington, Vt., finished topped the list, while Memphis, Tenn., finished last. Philadelphia ranked No. 98.
The other cities in the bottom five were Burlington, Ala. (99); Detroit (97); and St. Louis (96). The other cities atop the list included Madison, Wisc. (2); Plano, Texas (3); San Jose, Calif. (4); and Boise, Ida. (5).
Of course, Men's Health is not the first national mag to zing Philadelphia for its overall living conditions. Earlier this year, the city was ranked most toxic by Forbes. There was also the three straight years of having the unenviable title of the city with the least attractive people by Travel + Leisure.
