PHOTOS: Hottest celebrity weddings of the summer

Happily ever after? We'll see...

Love has certainly been in the air this summer! Plenty of celebrity couples tied the knot in the past few months– some in lavish, televised broadcasts; others in quiet, below-the-radar ceremonies. Here’s a look at the summer’s most sizzling nuptials.

Of course we had to begin with the royal wedding of Prince William at Kate Middleton in London on April 29. This fairytale story captured hearts across the globe in an event that will go down in history as one of the most elaborate royal weddings ever.

On June 27, “Ugly Betty” star America Ferrera played the role of beautiful, blushing bride. She married her long-time boyfriend Ryan Piers Williams at the home of her co-star Vanessa Williams in Chappaqua, NY.

Kate Moss said “I do” to rocker Jamie Hince in England on July 1. She reportedly asked designer Manolo Blahnik to alter the shoes he created for her gown five times before she was happy. What else would you expect from a model?

Prince Albert of Monaco wed commoner Charlene Wittstock on July 2. Wittstock, a one-time Olympic swimmer for South Africa, is twenty years younger than Prince Albert. French President Nicolas Sarkozy and designer Roberto Cavalli were among the guests at this intimate, understated affair.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo finally got hitched after five years of dating. The celebrity couple had a private ceremony July 15 on a Caribbean Island– private until their wedding special aired on TLC, of course.

Brooke Burke married David Charvet in a secret ceremony off the coast of St. Bart’s on August 12. The couple exchanged vows on a sail boat in the presence of their family of six.

Tara Reid shocked fans when she tweeted that she was engaged –and then married– in the same day! Reid tied the knot with Zack Kehayov right after he proposed to her in Greece. The couple had only been dating for two months. What else would you expect from Tara Reid?

In an affair that came close to rivaling the royal wedding, Kim Kardashian married Kris Huphries in an over-the-top event on August 20 in Montecito. The couple, along with 450 of their closest friends, partied well into the night. The baby rumors have already started!

On August 27, director Sofia Coppola and Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars exchanged vows at the Coppola family property in Bernalda, Italy. It was a small, intimate affair with about 80 guests. The bride opted for a non-traditional lavender Azzedine Alaïa dress.

Perhaps the most anticipated wedding in history. Barbie and Ken FINALLY tied the knot at an undisclosed location on an undisclosed day in August in a small but elegant ceremony with only their closest friends. At least that’s the vision that photographer Beatrice de Guigne had for the famous couple. Her wedding photo shoot for Barbie and Ken took several days but the memories will last a lifetime.
