Who got kicked off ‘Dancing with the Stars’ last night? Chaz Bono

If only Chaz could turn back time...

Last week, “Dancing with the Stars” lost its heart. This week, it may have lost its soul.

Only seven days after kicking off jokester Carson Kressley, the show removed another fan favorite last night: heartwarming hoofer Chaz Bono. Like Kressley, Bono will be missed more for his personality than for his dancing, but he will still be missed.

However, while we mourn his passing we can still enjoy re-watching his Monday-night tango to the “Phantom of the Opera” theme, which in all honesty was not very good. But we did dig his costume, mostly because of his awesome Phantom mask. Everyone looks good in a phantom mask.

Still, we were a little put off by the judge’s comments, especially Bruno Tonioli’s, which may have been the meanest burn we’ve heard on television this year. “It was like watching a cute little penguin trying to be a big, menacing bird of prey,” the loquacious European exclaimed. (Luckily, Chaz’s mom was looking out for him, tweeting “I could teach his little arm-waving ass some manners! Critique Chaz’s dance style, movements, etc., but don’t make fun of my child on national TV!”)

Watch the dance, and then tell us what you think! Bruno too harsh, or was he just telling it like it is?
