TV Watch List: Weekend, Jan. 27-29

Zachary Levi stars as Chuck Bartowski and Yvonne Strahovski as Sarah Walker on “Chuck.”

‘Chuck’
COMEDY. From slacker nerd to reluctant, accident-prone spy to James Bond-in-the-making, Chuck Bartowski has made the intelligence game a whole lot of fun to be privy to. Chuck’s final mission not only puts his and wife Sarah’s life in danger, but their relationship is at risk as well. We’re already mourning the loss of this show — they better not break up our favorite undercover couple, too!
Series finale, Friday, 8 p.m., NBC

‘Luck’
DRAMA. David Milch brings his love of horseracing and slow-burning drama to HBO in this series that details life at the track. The lives of Dustin Hoffman’s scheming horse owner (just released from prison) and Nick Nolte’s horse trainer become intertwined with a surprising cast of characters — from jockeys to gamblers — who inhabit this high-stakes world. Alongside Milch, Michael Mann serves as co-executive producer and director.
Series premiere, Sunday, 9 p.m., HBO

‘Spartacus: Vengeance’
DRAMA. Liam McIntyre steps into the title character’s sandals after the tragic passing of star Andy Whitfield (he died of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in September). It’s a tough position to be in, but rest assured, McIntyre doesn’t disappoint (particularly in the abs department), nor does the show skimp on its hallmark sex and violence — especially when a massacre takes place in a whorehouse in Friday’s premiere.
Season premiere, Friday, 10 p.m., Starz

‘Great Performances’
MUSIC. Tony Bennett’s “great performances” with an impressive roster of singing partners — from to Willy Nelson the late Amy Winehouse — are captured in the intimate special, “Tony Bennett: Duets II.”
9 p.m., PBS
