Welcome to ‘Kanye Zone,’ the dumbest game you will spend 20 minutes playing

Don't let him in!

When Kanye West raps, “that sh— cray” in the “Watch the Throne” song, “N—s in Paris” there’s a slight chance he was predicting a video game that uses another quote from that same song.
Hitting the web early this week, Kanye Zone bills itself as “An Interactive Web Experience,” and is a hilarious low impact game in the tradition of early Atari. A user presses keyboard buttons to keep a circling little cut-out face of Kanye from entering a portion of the middle of the screen, labeled as “Zone.”

Playing incessently all the while is the excerpt of the “Paris” where Kanye repeats, “Don’t let me get in my zone.” Users try to oblige his command, and each time this goal is achieved, a series of dollar bill signs burst forward. And when you lose, Jay-Z joins Kanye in saying, “I’m definitely in my zone.”

As with anything involving Kanye, the game is already totally viral, with a reported 13,000 likes on Facebook, and the top scores on the right hand side indicate that people have already wasted several hours playing. The folks at Otter Spice, who created Kanye Zone are well aware of the silly nature of the game. Their tag at the bottom of the page encourages you to follow them on Twitter, and they’ll “tell you about dumb stuff like this.” And true to their word, that dumb stuff also includes “In the Zone” panties, labeled as “Zone Sexy Fun Time Lady Pants” and a hat, which is of course called a “Zone Head Sock.”

They just gained at least one new follower in @metrousmusic.
