Ashley Madison Web site offers $1M for proof Tim Tebow’s not a virgin

He completed fewer than 50 percent of his passes on the field last season, but “dating” website AshleyMadison.com is betting that Jets quarterback Tim Tebow has completed at least one pass off the field.

Tebow, an evangelical Christian and the son of missionaries, has frequently vowed that he is a virgin and waiting for marriage to fully enjoy the benefits of being a NFL quarterback. But AshleyMadison.com is offering $1 million to women for proof that, per their press release, “Tebow has been using his infamy from this year’s football season to get some ladies in the sack.”

The website advertises itself as “The world’s leading married dating service for discreet encounters.”

“As a former sports attorney I have seen with my own eyes the night in and night out temptations that are placed in front of professional athletes. Couple that with having to play on the hottest stage in sports and his limited talents, and I thought: ‘Why not challenge his personal notions?’ which to me are not aligned with where we are currently within our own society,” Noel Biderman, founder of AshleyMadison.com, told Metro New York in an exclusive interview.

Tebow has often made a stir, as much for his unorthodox style of playing quarterback as for his strict adherence to his Christian faith. During the BCS Championship game in 2009, Tebow wrote the Bible verse reference of “John 3:16” on his eye black, which in turn led to over 90 million Google searches for the passage in the following 24 hours. At SEC Media Day later that year, Tebow answered a reporter’s question about his belief on sex before marriage, acknowledging that he was a virgin and intended to stay that way until his honeymoon.

A request to Tebow’s agent Jimmy Sexton for comment was met without a response.

Speaking with Metro New York, Biderman said that in order to qualify for the $1 million incentive, AshleyMadison.com will accept photos, video, DNA or “maybe even a sworn affidavit from the woman’s mother.”

Biderman’s website claims nearly 14 million “anonymous” users and is the world’s largest website for those choosing to philander. He’s convinced that Tebow, who was most recently linked to singer Taylor Swift, isn’t just spending his nights boning up on his playbook.

“When you see his affinity for media coverage, whether that is hanging out with Hollywood celebs or posing for paparazzi, I think Tim is going to do anything to keep his fame alive,” Biderman said.
