Thursday gossip roundup: Jim Parsons of ‘Big Bang Theory’ is gay and always has been

Jim Parsons arrives for "The Late Show with David Letterman" at Ed Sullivan Theater on May 8.

Without fiancée Angelina Jolie not by his side, Brad Pitt‘s after-party for the Cannes premiere of his new film, “Killing Them Softly,” became a sort of bachelor party of sorts, according to Us Weekly. “With Brad’s impending wedding it almost had the feel of a sophisticated pre-bachelor party, with bottles of $390 Johnnie Walker whiskey and plenty of cigars,” a source says. “It was definitely a night for Brad to remember.” Pitt partied with the likes of Ray Liotta, P. Diddy and Chris Tucker, who remembered Pitt approaching him about comedic aspirations a decade ago. “I didn’t take him seriously then, although looking back I think I definitely should’ve,” Tucker told a group at the party. “In fact, where is he? Let me at him, let’s get busy, Brad!”

Jennifer Lopez, who stepped down as a judge from “American Idol” because she’s too busy, just signed a deal with the Oxygen Network for a reality show, according to the New York Post. But the show won’t focus on Lopez, sources say. It will instead be about her boyfriend, Casper Smart, who was recently promoted to choreographer for Lopez’s upcoming tour, as he “whips her other backup dancers into shape.” Lopez and Smart reportedly plan to keep the focus on their “professional relationship” on the show.

“The Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons is on record as a gay man, with a New York Times profile highlighting his 10-year relationship with Todd Spiewak, whom Parsons previously thanked in his 2010 Emmy acceptance speech. But this apparently isn’t a big “coming out” moment. “Jim was never ‘in the closet,’” a source tells Hollyscoop. “He has never hidden anything. He has been to award shows with his boyfriend and thanked him in speeches, so there was nothing to ‘come out of.’”

It’s hard out there for a supermodel. Bar Refaeli, who previously dated Leonardo DiCaprio, insists that despite her famous beauty, she gets very little male attention. “Let’s put it out there: no one hits on me. No one flirts with me. It’s very sad, actually,” Refaeli tells Conan O’Brien during an interview. “A guy who comes up to me [directly] works. I hope that will happen every now and again.” But if you plan on approaching Refaeli, be sure you’ve been to the dentist: “I want him to be sweet and kind with good values and morals,” she says of what she looks for in a guy. “But the first thing I notice is his teeth. I have a fetish. He has to have a great smile and really white, bright teeth.”

A former nanny is suing Sharon Stone over allegations of labor violations and derogatory comments the actress supposedly made about the woman’s race, according to Radar Online. Erlinda Elemen‘s suit claims that Stone told Elemen, who is Filipino, not to talk to Stone’s children because she didn’t want them to “talk like you.” Elemen also alleges that Stone said Filipino people were “stupid” and wouldn’t allow her to have a bible in the house. She also claims she was terminated for no reason after a dispute over accepting overtime wages. Elemen is seeking unspecified damages.

Paula Abdul insists she could never have an intimate relationship with former boss Simon Cowell, despite what his unauthorized biography might say. “According to him, we did a lot of hanging out,” she tells Wendy Williams in an interview. “But I’ve got to tell you something, it would never ever happen because he’s selfish and he’d be a selfish lover and he’d call his own name out during sex if it ever happened.”
