Hudson Distillery: A Father’s Day for grown-up kids
Now that you’re at the point when you can have a drink together, why not plan a Father’s Day outing that celebrates it? The father-and-son-owned Hudson Distillery in Gardiner, N.Y., is offering weekend tours with tastings of its award-winning, locally sourced spirits. Reflect on your own origins (or just toss back a few drams) while distillers take you and pop through the process of creating a batch of their single malt, rye and bourbon whiskeys.
Do your filial duty and be the designated driver, and don’t forget to bring a bottle back for mom. We suggest the holiday-appropriate Baby Bourbon, which is the first bourbon produced in the state and uses 100 percent New York State corn.
Tours are held Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Reservations are required: Call 845-633-8734 or visit www.tuthilltown.gostorego.com.
