Inside Sarah Jessica Parker’s $80,000 per couple Obama fundraiser

Sarah Jessica Parker is pulling out all the stops ahead of a fundraiser she is hosting tonight for President Obama at her West Village town house. No stone is being left unturned for the $80,000 per couple event.

The “Sex and the City” star is reportedly busy primping and priming the home she shares with husband Matthew Broderick before the president and first lady arrive, along with other influential people from both show biz and the political world. One lucky winner who donated as little as $3 online to Obama’s re-election campaign will also be in attendance.

Parker’s staff is in overdrive, leaving no detail to chance. Workers were spotted hauling in large rugs, stacks of chairs, fresh flowers and even a piano. The event’s reception was organized with the help of Vogue editor Anna Wintour, according to the New York Post.

After the reception at Parker’s home, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will head to a fundraising dinner at The Plaza hotel, which will feature a performance by Mariah Carey.
