Thursday gossip roundup: Prince Harry is getting a royal scolding over naked pics

Naughty prince...

All is well after a surprise visit to the hospital this week by Reese Witherspoon had friends worried she might be having her baby earlier than expected, according to the Daily Mail. “The visit is a normal thing for a lot of pregnant women and this is no drama,” a source tells the newspaper. “All parties involved are healthy and fine.” But that’s not how things looked a day ago, when sources told Radar Online, “Reese was actually taken to the hospital on Tuesday night with complications. She was released that night and then rushed back to the hospital [Wednesday]. At this point it looks like she might have the baby.” The baby is due in early September.

Contrary to reports that Britney Spears might be getting cold feet, the singer is still very much planning to marry fiancé Justin Trawick, according to People magazine. “There’s no truth to any second thoughts about their wedding,” a source says. Those rumors began cropping up when Spears was spotted recently without the engagement ring she received from Trawick after his proposal last December. But the absence was work-related, the source explains: “She was not wearing her ring last week because she took it off during an Elizabeth Arden [photo] shoot and Jason was holding it for her. He simply forgot to give it back until later.”

In the wake of his nude Las Vegas photo scandal, Prince Harry has been summoned home, heading to Balmoral Castle in Scotland to get a talking-to from Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip as well as his dad, Prince Charles, according to Us Weekly. A source tells the magazine that the royal bachelor — and third in line for the British crown — will “have to face up to family” for the outrageous behavior. And his personal security will have to answer some questions as well — like how the photos could have been taken, let alone leaked. But Harry’s guards needn’t be too worried. “Of course questions will be asked, and matters raised, but no one’s job is on the line,” the source says. “As protection officers, their job is to intervene when his life is at risk, not to protect his image.”

It looks like Angelina Jolie is OK with her kids getting in on the act, as one of her children — 4-year-old daughter Vivienne — will get some screen time with mom. “Angelina Jolie’s daughter Vivienne will play a minor role as the child version of Princess Aurora opposite her mother in ‘Maleficent,’” a statement from Walt Disney Studios confirms. Elle Fanning will play the older version of the princess, better known as Sleeping Beauty.

Salma Hayek is drawing fire for comments in an interview with German Vogue that suggest she’s lost touch with her Mexican roots. “Honestly, I hardly had any memories of what it is to be a Mexican woman,” she tells the magazine when asked about filming “Traffic” 12 years ago. “My life is completely different now.” Blog Guanabee.com took offense to that, writing, “What did Salma mean by basically saying she forgot what it’s like to be a Mexican woman? That she’s too French and rich for our blood?”
