Olympian turned Vegas call girl: Suzy Favor Hamilton tweets about secret life

From race to racy — a former U.S. Olympian has admitted to taking up a different profession after her retirement from running: working as a Las Vegas escort.

Suzy Favor Hamilton competed three times for the U.S. in the Olympic Games of 1992, 1996 and 2000 as a middle-distance runner. She appeared in ads for Nike and Reebok, and even had her own swimsuit calender in 1997. These days, though, she’s been keeping lonely high-rollers company in Sin City under the alias “Kelly Lundy.”

In a bombshell report, The Smoking Gun discovered that Favor Hamilton, now 44, charged $600-an-hour for a “date.” She apparently revealed her true identity to several male clients, who then blabbed about their conquests with the former pro athlete, leading to the revelation of her double life.

The wife and mother of a 7-year-old daughter initially denied her work as a call girl for Haley Heston’s Private Collection when she was confronted by a reporter in the lobby of a Vegas hotel, but eventually admitted to her scandalous career for the past year.

Thursday afternoon, Favor Hamilton, who famously purposefully fell on the track during the 2000 Sydney Olympics 1500m women’s final when she realized she would not win the race, took to Twitter to come clean about her dirty deeds, tweeting, “I realize I have made highly irrational choices and I take full responsibility for them. I am not a victim here and knew what I was doing.”

She blamed her salacious tendencies on marital problems, adding, “I was drawn to escorting in large part because it provided many coping mechanisms for me when I was going through a very challenging time with my marriage and my life. It provided an escape from a life that I was struggling in. It was a double life.”

Favor Hamilton said she is seeking professional help to cope with her decisions.
