We enlisted Jeremy Cowan, the president of the NYC Brewers Guild and the proprietor of Shmaltz Brewing Company, to give us his list of can’t-miss events.  See you at the aPORKalypse.

Monday: Sixpoint Strong Ale Ataraxia launch at The Modern (9 W. 53rd St.)
“I love great art, and I love strong ales. And beer is art, after all!”

Tuesday: Applewood beer dinner with Kelso Beer Co. (501 11th St., 7 p.m.)
“Digging into the tasty ingredients that tie together great artisan beer with an amazing farm-to-brewery-to-table dinner, this five-course beer dinner will feature specialties such as brewery-fresh spent grain pretzel rolls sweetened with malt syrup from Kelso.”

 Wednesday: Brewer’s Choice at City Winery (155 Varick St., 6 p.m., $60)
“This is a remarkable opportunity to meet the actual brewers behind all these incredible flavors, paired with foods from some of the best chefs in New York City.”

Thursday, Feb. 28: Shmaltz Funky Jewbelation 2013 at Barcade (388 Union Ave., Brooklyn, 6 p.m.)
“How can you go wrong combining arcade games, the NYC Backgammon Guild and a slew of special Shmaltz Brewing releases, including our new Funky Jewbelation — a blend of six barrel-aged ales and lagers?”
Saturday, March 2: The 2nd Annual aPORKalypse Now Local Beer and Pork Festival (5-14 51st Avenue, Long Island City, 12 p.m.-10 p.m., $40)
“I can’t wait to show off our rare cask of Coney Island Human Blockhead and check out all the other extra special pairings.”
