Fresh new eateries are springing up all over the city, with vegan options, PB&J crepes, bone marrow mini-luges, and plenty of pig tails. Try one — or all — of these six. Just not all in one day.

So Crepe
Hot dogs, wrapped in a crepe? You bet. Now it just needs bacon. This new spot on South Street has a mix of savory and sweet crepes. Go for eggs, ham and swiss cheese or, if you’re craving sweet, try the So Washington with caramelized apple and vanilla ice cream. Or go old-school with the peanut butter and jelly So Lunch Box.

Noord
There might not be another restaurant in Philly that is getting as much buzz as Noord, — and it’s not even open yet. Native Philadelphian Joncarl Lachman is bringing Northern European influence to South Philly. With an opening date set for the first week of May, this small spot will include a communal table and a rotisserie and a smoker in the kitchen. Talk about bringing the heat. We’re looking forward to the beer-braised corned beef.

Strangelove’s
The owners of Memphis Taproom and Local 44 are behind this brand-new gastropub, which features 22 taps for the beer lovers and plenty of vegan options for the meat haters. And how about this for a meal: tater tots with bacon, perogies and a “big ass brownie,” made with vegan cream cheese. You can still be one of the first to check it out — it’s only been open a couple of days.

Cheu Noodle Bar
Hopping on the ramen train, buddies Ben Puchowitz and Shawn Darragh opened this popular noodle bar April 1. They’re giving the college-student staple a twist, tossing in treats like fish ribs and barbecue pig tails. Bring along a bottle of whatever complements pig tails: it’s a BYOB for now, until the liquor license is approved.

Pizzeria Beddia
Move over, Pizza Brain. This month-old, cash-only pizza joint in Fishtown run by Zavino alum Joe Beddia has people lining up. No appetizers, no gimmicks, just 16 inches of flat-out great pizza. We usually think that any pizza is better than no pizza, but these memorable slices might change our minds.

This posh Rittenhouse restaurant in the Palomar hotel isn’t new, but it just underwent a major transformation, including a revamped menu. Don’t worry, the bacon-wrapped dates are still on offer, but now dishes are easier to share with their Plates for Two. Choose from heaping portions of osso bucco, branzino or chicken. Other new items include duck confit and pork trotters — a.k.a pig feet.
