Here is Canseco when he DIDN'T whore himself out for money.

If you’re in the media business you’re quite familiar with press releases. In sports media, most of these memos are useless documents that immediately find their way into the trash bin.
No we have no intention of covering your tiddliwinks tournament next Saturday. No, we can’t send a photographer to the pickup ultimate frisbee consolation game on Sunday. And no, we will are not interested in conducting a one-on-one interview with an MLS assistant beer vendor.
But, like with everything else, there are diamonds in the rough.
PTF columnist and Philly sports editor Mike Greger passed this press release along yesterday and to do it justice, you really just have to read the entire thing.

What should have also been included in the press release was Canseco’s “Damn-that’s-so-Canseco” post about the Pope stepping down:
@JoseCanseco tweeted, “What all does a pope do”

When life imitates art

A star-studded group of Sports Illustrated swimsuit models stopped by Letterman to read the Top Ten list last night in New York (video below). Yes, Kate Upton was there. As was Katherine Webb, who of course had to joke on the main reason she was there in the first place – Brent Musburger.
The topic: “Questions on the application to become an SI swimsuit model”

Webb read the No. 2 reply: “How would Brent Musburger describe you?”
