NSFW: Miley Cyrus poses in topless photos, challenges Sinead O’Connor

Another day, another provocative move by Miley Cyrus.

The 20-year-old starlet took racy photos that featured her wearing just tights, smoking blunts and a leotard with a very, very tiny bottom. As if the world weren’t already convinced, it seems that Cyrus is bent on proving to everyone that she “Can’t Be Tamed.” The photos are shocking even by Cyrus’ standards: Scroll down for the photo, which is not safe for work, and click here to see the rest of the shoot.

Even Sinead O’Connor is worried. She penned an open letter to Cyrus earlier this week, saying, “I am extremely concerned for you that those around you have led you to believe, or encouraged you in your own belief, that it is in any way ‘cool’ to be naked and licking sledgehammers in your videos. It is in fact the case that you will obscure your talent by allowing yourself to be pimped, whether it’s the music business or yourself doing the pimping.”‘

Cyrus hit back with a screengrab of O’Connor’s Twitter account, comparing her to Amanda Bynes, a troubled young actress who is known for her very public meltdown and now undergoing treatment. She also tweeted a photo of O’Connor ripping the Pope’s photo on “Saturday Night Live.”

O’Connor responded with a second open letter, “Who the f– is advising you? Because taking me on is even more f–in’ stupid than behaving like a prostitute and calling it feminism. … I am staggered that any 20 yr old woman of the 21st century could behave in such a dangerous and irresponsible manner as to not only send the signal to young women that it’s ok to act like prostitutes but also to signal that those who have suffered or do suffer mental health problems are to be mocked and have their opinions invalidated.” O’Connor also threatened to sue Cyrus if she does not take down her tweets.

We’re not sure if either of them came out of the feud looking good.
