DMX is going to fight George Zimmerman in ‘celeb boxing tournament’

Yank a dog’s leash and you’re gonna get the teeth. Is that an expression? I was pretty sure it was an expression until I typed it out, but now I’m pretty sure that it is not. At any rate, in the scenario referred to in this expression I may have just made up, George Zimmerman has the leash in his hand and DMX is the dog.

On Tuesday, I reported here that Zimmerman was all jazzed up about wanting to fight Kanye West in a “celebrity boxing tournament” (put on by Philadelphia boxing gym, Feldman, who has pitted the formidable likes of Tonya Harding and Paula Jones against one another in past).

Yeezy is too busy off having an actual career, being a genius and not traveling to Pennsylvania to trade blows with a common thug to show up for this charade. DMX’s calendar, however, is wide open.

The Ruff Ryder turned “Couples Therapy” reality personality (very street) has made it very clear that he’s up for the job of giving Zimmerman the beatdown that the legal system failed to (metaphorically) serve up.

The 43-year-old rapper has taken to the Internet to make it clear to Zimmerman that X Gon’ Give it to Ya and that the 30-year-old “neighborhood watchman” better be ready to Get It on the Floor because Where the Hood at is Right Here. By the end of this fight, Zimmerman will not need to ask What’s My Name because he’ll be KO-ed, which is really, in the end, What These Bitches Want.

OK, OK. He didn’t say any of that, I mostly just wanted to make some DMX song title puns — also this Spotify trip through his back catalog has been delightful.

What X did say is far more, er, colorful. And much less punny. “Once I am done with him, I am going to whip my d— out and piss on him … right in his muthaf—in face,” DMX told TMZ. “Zimmerman is a piece of s— and that’s what he needs to drink.”

Um. Well, OK. That brings a whole new meaning to “hit the showers, boys,” at any rate.
