Erin Andrews named new host of ‘Dancing with the Stars’
Former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, ESPN sideline commentator and male sports fan gawkee Erin Andrews is back on the Disney family of networks.
Andrews was named the new host of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday — replacing the ousted Brooke Burke-Charvet. Don’t worry, ladies, Tom Bergeron will still be co-hosting. (Sorry, Brooke.)
The Big Lead was the first to report the rumors this weekend, but ABC confirmed the news Monday.
Since leaving ESPN, Andrews has toiled in obscurity with Fox Sports 1, which is apparently a channel that exists. OK, to be fair, she also works on Fox doing college football and working the sidelines for NFL games, but she certainly seems to have faded from the spotlight.
She was on “Dancing with the Stars” back in 2010 in the show’s 10th season, where she was paired with Maxim Chmerkovskiy. The pair finished in third, but most of the talk centered on whether the two were dating pre- and post-show.
Apparently they weren’t.
In fact, Andrews is dating Los Angeles Kings center Jarret Stoll (that’s hockey, like most celebrities date), whom she has been dating for quite awhile.
I know, none of this matters to you guys. But we won’t tell anyone you’re watching “Dancing with the Stars” simply to gawk at Andrews. And yes, ladies, you can still hate on her — now on a twice-weekly basis.
