Carla Bruni and Johnny Hallyday coming to New York
Embrace French culture with two French concerts happening this spring right here in the city. Singer-songwriter and former First Lady of France Carla Bruni will be performing songs from her fourth album, “Little French Songs” at Town Hall on April 24. Her breathy voice and enchanting songs make the concert a perfect night for drinking wine and relaxing. Even those who don’t know a mot of French will appreciate the poetry of the language, sung against Bruni’s soft guitar strumming.
Johnny Hallyday is one of the biggest rockstars in France, having played to sold-out audiences all over the world. Not only has he collaborated with Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Peter Frampton, Taj Mahal and Bono, but he plenty of his own accords. Hallyday has earned eight French Music Awards and sold over 100 million albums. Hallyday’s concert is sure to be full of energy and an enthusiastic crowd.
