Metro’s breakdown of your weekend TV.

‘MTV Video Music Awards’
AWARDS SHOW. OK, so we know that the VMAs aren’t exactly an important, illustrious awards show along the lines of, say, the Oscars. But, truth be told, we think they’re a lot more fun. One would never see Borat grinding his junk in Eminem’s sulky face at the Academy Awards. So we’ll be tuning in just for the antics (and the outfits) when the 30th annual VMAs broadcast — for the first time — from Brooklyn instead of L.A.
Sunday, 9 p.m., MTV

‘2013 VMA Pre-Show’
RED CARPET. Sometimes we enjoy an award show pre-show more than the actual ceremony. And the VMA red carpet is always a particular brand of awesome, with half the celeb guests looking hot as hell and the other half looking batsh—t crazy.
Sunday, 8 p.m, MTV

‘Pregnant Behind Bars’
REALITY. It seems there is no end to the different shows about wackadoo preggo women that the reality TV machine can churn out. And — from knocked-up teens to grown-ass women who somehow didn’t realize they were knocked up until the baby was practically crowning — we watch them all. So it seems safe to say that we’ll be checking out the premiere of this new show about women who are knocked up in prison.
Series Premiere,Thursday, 10 p.m., DFH

‘Attack of the Celebrity Bikinis’
SPECIAL. We’re hoping that this is a report on skimpy bathing suits that have somehow developed cognitive abilities and turned on their celeb owners. We’re guessing, however, it’s just yet another fawning look at celebrity beach bods. Ah, well.
Thursday, 10 p.m., E!
