Since Angelina Jolie came forward about her double mastectomy, she’s been hailed from all corners for her bravery. However, someone isn’t as impressed: her fellow BRCA1 gene carrier Melissa Etheridge.

“I wouldn’t call it the brave choice. I actually think it’s the most fearful choice you can make when confronting anything with cancer,” she said of Angelina’s mastectomy, according to the Daily Mail.

She added, “It’s the stress that will turn that gene on or not.”

Got that, movie star and mother of six Angelina Jolie? You should have just led a stress-free life.

When Brad Pitt learned of Etheridge’s comments, it sounded like he was planning to set her straight.

“Oh, I didn’t know, I haven’t seen her. … Melissa is an old friend of mine, so I’ll have to give her a call,” he told Extra. Poor Melissa. Hard to imagine a worse phone call than one where Brad Pitt tells you you’ve disappointed him.

Plenty of Hollywood stars probably have trouble remembering all the hundreds of reporters and fans and presidents they meet. Brad Pitt, however, thinks his poor memory might be an actual medical condition. He finds it nearly impossible to remember the faces of anyone he meets, he told Esquire.

For awhile, he tried being honest about his problem. “I took one year where I just said, this year I’m just going to cop to it and say to people, ‘OK, where did we meet?’ But it just got worse. People were more offended. Every now and then, someone will give me context, and I’ll say, ‘Thank you for helping me.’ But I piss more people off,” the star says.
