The Word: Selena Gomez cried when Justin Bieber arrived at her party

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may yet make things work between them.
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may yet make things work between them.

Selena Gomez turned 21 this week and celebrated with a huge star-studded bash for all her friends. But it sounds like she only had eyes for one: her on-again off-again boyfriend, Justin Bieber.

“Justin arrived at the party in his leopard-print Audi R8,” a source told People. “He was casually dressed and carried a single rose.” Aww. That’s actually quite romantic, in a “Phantom of the Opera” kind of way.

Apparently Selena thought so too — when she spotted Justin, she started to cry, according to another source, who said that Justin and Selena went into the house for a heart-to-heart. Good for the kids. If Justin managed not to pee or spit on anything for the duration of the evening, maybe they can make things work.

The Biebs was in Toronto for a concert yesterday when a fan snapped several photos of him leaning over his hotel balcony to spit. It’s not clear what his target is, but according to TMZ, as well as Bieber’s own Instagram stream, his hotel was surrounded by fans all day, so it seems like they would have been difficult to avoid. Maybe Bieber just has much better spit-aim than most people do.
