Jamie Lee Curtis was taken to the hospital after a car crash yesterday. The actress was a passenger in a black SUV that was driving in Venice Beach, California, when it struck a BMW, according to the Daily Mail.

Curtis called her friend Jodie Foster, who arrived on the scene of the accident and lent moral support. An ambulance took Curtis to the emergency room, but her injuries were minor and she’s now recovering at home.

One other person involved in the crash had more serious injuries and is still hospitalized. It’s not known whether the other injured person was in Jamie’s vehicle or the one her vehicle struck. Regardless, this sounds like a serious crash, so let’s keep the Activia jokes to a minimum, please.

Foster had news of her own recently. She confirmed long-running speculation that she is gay by coming out at the Golden Globes awards this January, but joked she wouldn’t be holding a news conference to discuss her private life.

The notoriously private Foster stunned the audience of stars and Hollywood powerbrokers as she accepted a lifetime achievement award by announcing she was now single.
