Oh, no.

Don’t do it, Amber Tamblyn. Don’t join the cast of “Two and a Half Men,” as the Hollywood Reporter says you are. Not to say anything about the artistic merits of the show, but have you noticed everyone on it goes crazy? Angus T. Jones started making videos about how the show was “filth.” And Charlie Sheen — well, you remember.

Yes, I know “Two and a Half Men” is down a “half man” since Jones made his escape, and they’ve got to maintain that mythical 2.5 at all times or the bus will explode. And it’s kind of a cute idea to add Charlie’s lecherous lesbian daughter to the show (although I guess that means the new “half man” is… an adult woman?) But I like you. You are a talented indie actress who married David Cross and always seems in on the joke. I don’t want you to end up in a tinfoil hat somewhere muttering about tiger blood.

“Arrested Development” star David Cross married actress Tamblyn last fall. The news was broken by director Lance Bangs, who posted a photo to Instagram of the couple dancing at their reception, with the caption reading, “Yo La Tengo playing Superchunk, Mission of Burma and Pixies covers at David and Amber’s wedding.” The pair became engaged in August 2011.
