The Word: Taylor Swift mocks Kanye West with jam

Kanye v. Taylor Swift Sep. 13, 2009 – You know about this. Did you know he’d jumped on stage at least two other award shows previously? West would apologize to Swift for interrupting her win, but took back the apology this week.
It was Kanye vs. Taylor Swift on Sept. 13, 2009.

Kanye “Imma let you finish” West jokes are a little past their prime at this point. It’s been four years, after all, since he interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs. The only way that would still be a little funny is if, say, Taylor Swift herself was plastering her homemade crafts with barbed little references to the incident. And she is. Which is why this is so great.

Taylor’s buddy and tourmate Ed Sheeran posted a pic on Instagram of a gift from Taylor: a bottle of homemade jam. Whatever, of course Taylor Swift makes jam in her spare time. She’s probably got a cannery set up in the wings of her touring stages so she can bang out a few jars of marmalade while they change the scenery. But what’s great is the label.

I love this. I love that Taylor Swift has managed to convince the world that she’s the sweetest girl in show business when her entire career is based on holding grudges.
