The Word: Tina Fey says she’s a ‘human napkin’

Since “30 Rock” came to an end this spring, Tina Fey has kept a low profile. Is it because she’s working on a new screenplay? Well, she might be, but according to her, we haven’t seen much of her because she’s become a horrifying troll of a human being.

“I’ve got to get out of the house,” she told David Letterman (on whose show she looked great, by the way). “I have not combed my hair since the Golden Globes.”

“I’m home with the kids, which is great, but you just are kind of a human napkin,” she admitted. “Like, they just wipe their face on you.”

Well, toddler snot must be a great exfoliant, because Fey looks radiant.

Grief can do strange things to a person. Some of us cry; some of us go on homophobic rants against Daily Mail reporters.

Tina Fey’s former co-star Alec Baldwin fell into the second camp. After reporter George Stark pointed out that Baldwin’s wife Hilaria put up a tweet while the couple were at James Gandolfini’s funeral, he launched into a furious, profane tirade in her defense.

“Someone said my wife was tweeting during a funeral. Hey. That’s not true,” he wrote. “But I’m gonna tweet at your funeral.”
