The Word: Ronan Farrow may be Frank Sinatra’s son, not Woody Allen’s

Mia Farrow says her son with Woody Allen may actually be Frank Sinatra’s.

Ronan Farrow, a 25-year-old lawyer and activist, was the subject of a legendary custody battle between his mother and his father, Woody Allen, after Allen left the family to begin a relationship with Ronan’s adopted half-sister Soon-Yi Previn. Allen lost that battle — oh boy, did he — and he and Ronan haven’t spoken since. Now it turns out even DNA might not connect the estranged father and son.

In a Vanity Fair profile, Mia admits that she’s not sure which famous man fathered Ronan, and that Frank Sinatra is “possibly” his father. Sinatra was the love of her life, she says, adding that “we never really split up.”

When you look at a picture of Ronan, a handsome, blue-eyed guy, the resemblance to Sinatra is unmistakable. But on the other hand, Ol’ Blue Eyes would have been seriously Ol’ — Ronan was born in 1987, when Sinatra was in his 70s. Besides, Ronan was a child prodigy, attending Bard College at age 11, followed by Yale Law, and later working for the Obama administration. Say what you will about Woody Allen, but the guy’s got brains.

So we might never know the truth — no DNA test has ever been performed, and also it’s none of our business.
