The Word: Miley Cyrus wanted to go topless at the VMAs

Miley Cyrus’ VMAs performance caused such a sensation that we’re still talking about it weeks later. But for Miley herself, her twerky, humpy, strippy, tongue-wavy show didn’t go nearly far enough: She wanted it to be booby, too.

“You’re not going to be topless on stage, are you?” Britney Spears asked the “Bangerz” singer in a new documentary, “Miley: The Movement.”

“I tried, but I don’t think MTV’s going to allow it,” Miley replied.

In retrospect, they probably wish they had. Miley’s performance must be one of the biggest things to happen to MTV in years. Drat that pesky FCC.

The documentary also reveals that Miley was originally supposed to make a big red carpet entrance in a cop car, but when the plans hit a snag, she was furious. “The point was to show up in the f—ing car. This looks f—ing lame,” she yelled at a member of her team.

Well, at least we can safely say that if anyone did think her non-police-car entrance was “f—ing lame,” they had absolutely absolutely forgotten about it a few hours later.
