The Word: The craziest rumor about Kris and Bruce Jenner yet

Take this one with a boulder-sized grain of salt: Star Magazine claims that the reason Kardashian parentals Kris and Bruce Jenner are getting a divorce is not middle-aged ennui, the stress of being on TV all the time, or the incompatability of two narcissists.

No, they claim it’s because Bruce wants to be a woman.

“Bruce has a feminine side,” their source says. “He likes growing his hair out, likes getting manicures and pedicures and won’t leave his house without his diamond earrings. And he’s obsessed with plucking his eyebrows!”

Well – OK. None of that means he’s transgender, though, or that he wants to be a woman, as their cover blares. He sounds like a regular LA-style metrosexual to me. Frankly, gentlemen of all levels of butchness, if more of you got mani-pedis, the world would be a more attractive place.

The source claims, though, that Kris is holding Bruce’s secret life over his head. “Kris has told Bruce that she will reveal his secret if he doesn’t go along with her plans about their split or their show,” the source said.

If it is true, I hope Bruce calls Kris’s bluff. Centering a season of “Kardashians” around Bruce’s transition would be amazing. I do understand that it is almost certainly lies. I’m just grasping at straws for something that would make these guys interesting to me again.
