The Word: Katy Perry has locks of Miley Cyrus’ and Taylor Swift’s hair

What’s the secret to Katy Perry’s success? If you were going to say “Never creepily asking for locks of her fellow pop stars’ hair,” well, you’d be wrong. Because she totally did that.

The “Roar” singer performed at an iHeartRadio event where a fan asked her what she keeps in her purse. Perry revealed that it’s currently empty, because she no longer carries around those hanks of Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus’s hair she used to have.

“One of the first times I went to the Grammys, I got to share a dressing room with Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift,” Perry said, according to E! Online, “and I asked them for a lock of their hair from each one of them, which is totally creepy, but awesome.”

“I put little bows on them individually and put them in my purse. And that was my little secret and I’m a freak!”

Hahaha yeah, she is! Who does that? More to the point, who goes along with that request? What was Katy’s explanation for why she needed their hair? It seems like the best case scenario there is some sort of voodoo ceremony to steal their essence. Also, how was there a point where Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, and Katy Perry were asked to share a dressing room? I would think all the stars would get their own rooms, if only to discourage this sort of behavior.
