Jane Seymour filed for separation from James Keach, her husband of 20 years, last week. The two had announced plans to divorce earlier this year.

The “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” star has two children with Keach, twins Kristopher and John, 17. She’s asked the court not to require her to pay spousal support.

“Obviously, it’s really devastating,” Seymour said on “The View” earlier this year. “It did happen a while ago. It was sort of kept quiet.”

Seymour said they continue to have a close relationship despite the split. “We open our hearts to one another. We respect one another,” Seymour said. ”We’ve been together 22 years, and we will be together the rest of our lives raising our children and doing things like the Open Hearts Foundation.”

This will mark the fourth divorce for Seymour and the third for Keach. Seymour has two other children, Katherine, 31, and Sean, 28, from her marriage to David Flynn.
