Congrats to our favorite princess-adjacent socialite: Pippa Middleton is engaged!

Pippa’s boyfriend, banker Nico Jackson, reportedly popped the question in early December while the pair was on a romantic trip to the Oberoi Amarvilas Resort in India.

“It was exactly how he planned it,” a source tells Us Weekly. ”Very romantic and grand!”

Pippa, 30, has been dating Nico, 36, for about 15 months. Though their wedding is unlikely to be as grand as her big sister Kate’s (I don’t think they loan out Westminster Abbey to bankers), she’s sure to have a glittering affair, since we already know that she can rock the heck out of a white dress (at least her booty can).

Besides, she vaguely has a career as an event planner, right? Her wedding is her big chance to shine with all her great party-planning tips from her book, “Celebrate.” No doubt the bride and groom will eat the finest doughnuts on the most delicate strings in the land.

One guest who probably won’t be invited to the almost-royal wedding: Morrissey. Animal rights activist Morrissey published a firmly anti-Pippa rant on his blog after she was spotted hunting.

“The sick face of modern Britain, Pippa Middleton, will kill deer, boar, birds — any animal struggling to live or that gets in her socialite way. This is because her sister is, of course, Kate, who herself became ‘royal’ simply by answering the telephone at the right time, and this association allows Pippa’s ‘kill, kill, kill’ mentality to be smilingly endorsed by the British print media, to which only the mentally deficient could join in with the laughter.”

I really think the happy couple should consider asking him to perform the ceremony. He’s already got a beautiful speech written, clearly.
