Allison Williams could give her character some tips on how to get your life together. On “Girls” Marnie’s a bit of an aimless, narcissistic mess, but in real life the actress has any number of ducks in a row, now including a cute, successful husband-to-be.

Williams is engaged to Ricky Van Veen, her representative told People magazine yesterday. Williams, 25, has been dating Van Veen, 32, for three years. Van Veen is the creator of College Humor, the megapopular comedy site, and he is also the producer of television shows such as Food Network’s “Chopped.”

Williams must be proud of her fiance’s success — the actress apparently has little interest in being the breadwinner of the family. “I’d love to be a mom and not have to bring my kids into my trailer… or a balance [of both],” she told Glamour.

Allison Williams strikes me as someone who would be a very nice mom. Maybe once she has kids and she’s convincing them to eat vegetables, she can slip Ricky a Brussels sprout or two — he once told New York Mag that he considered them nothing more than “butter transport.”
