Man strikes Brad Pitt at ‘Maleficent’ premiere

Angelina Jolie wasn’t the only villain at the premiere of “Maleficent” on Wednesday: A dude came up to Brad Pitt and hit him for no reason.

Vitalii Sediuk, a Ukrainian TV presenter, vaulted over the security barrier at the “Maleficent” premiere and struck Pitt, according to Variety. Security quickly subdued Sediuk and held him until the NYPD arrived to arrest him. He’s been arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery. He is being held on $20,000 bail.

This is not the first time that Sediuk has pulled one of his “pranks,” which aren’t particularly funny and seem more like run-of-the-mill harassment. Just a few weeks ago,  he crashed the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival and stuck his head under America Ferrera’s dress. He’s also tried to kiss Will Smith on the mouth and groped Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper at other red-carpet events. He even managed to be onstage at the Grammys this year when Adele accepted one of her awards.

In other words, this guy is the worst. What the heck is he getting out of all this? Is this some Ukrainian humor that doesn’t translate? Or is being publicly rude what passes for a prank now? If anyone gives this guy a reality show I will be most seriously displeased.
