Allston Arts District Open Studios

The Allston Arts District will hold its 27th Annual Open Studios on November 9 & 10.

A total of over 75 Allston artists and creative professionals work in a wide variety of media.  The area is compact – so all studios can be seen in an afternoon.  Come see artwork for sale and in progress.  Artwork on show will include: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, egg tempera, collage, jewelry, leather, kites, mosaics, and original clothing design.  This year, shuttle bus service connecting the Allston Open Studio venues will be available, courtesy of the City of Boston. For Allston Open Studios artist & location details, plus shuttle bus information please see the AAD website.

The Blank-Wertz Gallery (at 119 Braintree) will have a survey exhibition featuring artwork from most participating open studio artists, and is a great place for visitors to start.  There is ample free parking, and excellent ethnic restaurants abound in the neighborhood.  119 Braintree Street and 175 North Harvard Street are handicap accessible, but call ahead for arrangements. For more information, email our AAD Open Studios Coordinator at, or call 617-320-2937.
