Barclay Holiday Vocal Arts Celebration Schedule 2013

Warm up as the lobby rings with glorious voices as the fifth annual Barclay Holiday Choral Arts Celebration gets underway.  New York’s most comprehensive free live choral program features a wide array of vocal ensembles from the New York metropolitan area. Over a dozen performances take place weeknights from December 2 through 23, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

December 2 – Uncommon Chord

Pop-jazz vocal ensemble in New York City comprised of accomplished vocalists who sing contemporary music for the love of it.

December 3 -The Canticum Novum Singers

Chamber choir recognized for its stylistic versatility, vocal blend, and expressive range.

December 4 – Voices of Gotham

Barbershop Chorus in New York City, we are an all male a cappella chorus and a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

December 5 – New York City Master Chorale

Trained musicians from the greater New York City area, performs a full range of musical styles at the highest level of quality.

December 6- PS 150 Select Chorus

A premiere New York young person’s chorus.

December 9- The SymphoNY Chorus

Choir with a passion for sacred and holiday music.

December 10 – Big Apple Chorus

“Extraordinary group of ordinary men” with New York attitude, love of Broadway, in its 26th year.

December 11 – Holy Trinity Select Choir

High school ensemble performs classical to pop music, have appeared at RadioCity.

December 12 – Harmony Celebration Chorus

An exciting women’s ensemble which sings four-part a cappella harmony in the barbershop style.

December 13 – Frank Sinatra School of the Arts Chamber Chorus

A group of 25 singers performing a cappella ensemble music from FSSA foundedbyTony Bennett.

December 16 – Greenwich Village Chamber Singers

Known for originality and diversity of its programming and the beauty of its sound.

December 17 – Khorikos

A cappella ensemble dedicated to distinctive interpretations of musical works ranging from medieval polyphony to contemporary sound sculpture.

December 18 – Sirens of Gotham

A fresh take on women’s a cappella and member of Manhattan chapter of Sweet Adelines International.

December 19 – The Renaissance Street Singers

Performing of 15th and 16th century sacred music.

December 20 – Big Apple Chorus

“Extraordinary group of ordinary men” with New York attitude, love of Broadway, in its 26th year.

December 23 - MORE Opera Holiday Choral Ensemble

Ensemble of opera singers performing holiday music from around the world.
