Dance Fest 2013 – The Kennedy Dancers

The Kennedy Dancers, a non-profit corporation based in Jersey City is proud to be a part of “Dance Fest 2013”, presented by Jersey City’s Dept. of Cultural Affairs. ”Dance Fest 2013” will be at the J Owen Grundy Pier on Exchange Place Jersey City, NJ at the foot of Montgomery St (on the Hudson River) every Thurs.

With the beautiful skyline of Manhattan as a backdrop – The Kennedy Dancers one of New Jersey’s top dance companies will present 5 evenings of modern, neo classical and contemporary dance. The Kennedy Dancers Repertory Company (professional dancers) under the direction of Executive/Artistic Director Diane Dragone will perform:

  • Meadowlands Serenade – A neo classical piece, music by Yo Yo Ma and Paquito D’Rivera – Choreography by Diane Dragone, featuring Aaron Atkinss (formerly of Ballet Hispanico), Junie Kenworthy (formerly Alvin Ailey Dance Theater), and Laurel Zaleski (formerly Royal Danish Ballet), Bong Dizon (formerly H.T. Chen and Company) Elise Giannati, Gigi Horan and introducing Kevin Ortega.
  • The company will also perform choreographer Sean Curran “Force of Circumstance”, dance excerpts from “In the Heights” and segments from “La Dolce Vita” choreographed by Diane Dragone.
