Lloyd Price is an American music icon and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.

He was born in Kenner, Louisiana, on 9 March 1933, one of eleven children to Beatrice and Louis Price. Lloyd Price the legend was born when Lloyd dominated the Billboard charts with 34 charted single during the late 1950s. and 1960s.

Lloyd is known universally as “Mr. Personality” after his 1959 million-seller, (You’ve Got) Personality, one of his recordings. That #1 worldwide hit remains among the world’s most instantly recognizable melodies. More than two dozen artists have re-record it, and it’s been used by advertisers that include General Motors, Kraft Foods, American Idol, US Army, Fiat, Weight Watchers, Howard Johnson’s Hotels, the PGA and LPGA, and Pepsi Cola, among others.
