Lower East Side Opening Night

Lower East Side Opening Night

Lower East Side will be abuzz with art enthusiasts and downtown fashionistas, celebrating Art + Fashion in the LES. From 6-8pm over 40 galleries will be hosting their fall art openings. Smack dab in the center of the action will be a block party, featuring bands and an astroturf runway where at 6:30pm, LES styles will sashay down the catwalk for a ‘Looks of the Lower East Side’ fashion show.

The block party will be taking place on Orchard Street between Grand and Broome Streets with a stage of music curated by downtown punk revelers The Cast and menswear outpost, By Robert James. Anton Bass of Sea to Sun Recordings will be dropping beats during the LES’s takeover on the astroturf catwalk. Independent boutiques such asQuinnOld HollywoodEpaulet, and Urban Cricket will be showing off the current flavor of the LES melting pot with their unique wares.
