Each month she throws a party for three lucky audiences member replete with Mad Libs, fun temporary tattoos and her homemade ice cream cakes.

On Wednesday, August 14th, Robin welcomes storytellers Larry Smith (the real Larry Bloom from “Orange is the New Black” who’ll share a true story about prison, Piper and more), Tom Shillue (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Conan), Tara Clancy (The New York Times, Moth Grand Slam Winner) and more to share their funny true stories on the theme of “31 Flavors.”

Ever since Robin was a little girl, her family has been making ice cream cakes for their birthdays. Since she left home, she’s been carrying on that tradition for her friends’ birthdays. They’ve been so popular that she decided to blend her passion for making ice cream cakes with her passion for storytelling, and Yum’s the Word was born.

“Ice cream cakes instantly remind people of their childhood, and I want to celebrate that nostalgia with the purest form of entertainment, storytelling. The show is about indulging your inner child and your sweet tooth,” said Gelfenbien.
