I know I’ve been hitting you with a lot of national food days lately and for that I sincerely apologize. However this one involves some special dishes at a few of David Burke’s restaurant so I wanted to send it your way in case it was of any interest this time!

National Oyster Day coming up next week on August 5th, it’s the perfect time to take a break from backyard BBQ’s and indulge in the salty, refreshing flavors of America’s favorite mollusks. Never one to float the mainstream, Chef David Burke – who you can now catch battling it out on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters – will be serving exciting and innovative oyster dishes at two of his New York outposts, Townhouse and Fishtail, along with a third variety across the Hudson at Fromagerie in Rumson, NJ.
·        Diners at David Burke Townhouse <http://www.davidburketownhouse.com/> (133 East 61st St)  will be wowed with the ‘Oyster Thailanaises’ including Wellfleet Oysters, Curried Tapioca, Crispy Shallots, Papaya and Mango Slaw- 5 for $20.

·        Around the corner, David Burke Fishtail <http://www.fishtaildb.com/> (135 East 62nd Street) heats things up with ‘Oysters Up in Smoke’ featuring Apple Pearls and a Chardonnay Foam- 5 for $15.

·        Meanwhile, oyster-lovers at Fromagerie <http://www.fromagerierestaurant.com/>  (26 Ridge Road, Rumson, NJ) will be delighted to find Himalayan Salt Roasted Oysters topped with a Zucchini Pickle, Corn and Shisito Relish for $18.
