Actor Tom DiMenna plays Telly Savalas, channeling the unmistakable chutzpah of the long dead Greek-American celebrity with pitch-perfect gravitas and impeccable comic timing.

It’s the resurrection nobody was expecting: 1970s Hollywood icon Telly Savalas has risen from the grave to give the cynical and overstimulated youth of today a good kick in the pants in “Telly Savalas Live!”, a hilarious and surreal lounge act. This big, bald, improbably stylish ladies’ man has moved beyond “Kojak,” beyond the Dirty Dozen, beyond his instructional VHS series on no limit blackjack — indeed beyond the land of the living entirely. He’s been watching us very closely from the Other Side, and here’s the verdict: We’re doing it wrong. TV, movies, men’s wear, haircuts, heavy petting — You name it, we’ve blown it. Now, Telly will rise from the dead to personally administer his antidote to our perpetual state of cultural coitus interruptus (hint: it involves some angry sermonizing and several bizarre interpretations of classic pop songs and standards)!
