July 4 may be a special day for celebration—and Wave Hill is open to facilitate a serene enjoyment of the day—but we feel it will be overshadowed this year by Welcome Home Weekend, July 6 and 7. That’s when Wave Hill House, our beloved Hudson River mansion, closed for two years for renovation, reopens to visitors. Admission to the grounds is free all weekend, thanks to the generous support of target.
This week also ushers in Sunset Wednesdays, a signature summer program at Wave Hill. You can see why—music, walks, yoga, dinner overlooking the majestic Hudson.
Child and parent or caregiver practice fun yoga poses that build strength, increase flexibility and relax body and mind in this one-hour class taught by Catherine McGibney, an instructor at Yoga for Bliss. Recommended for ages 3–5. Sessions are held outdoors only and are weather dependent. Call 718.549.3200 x245 by 8AM on the day of the class for program updates.
Member $15/Non-member $23. Registration opens onsite at 9:30AM. Session fee includes one adult and one child, $5 each additional child.
