Following the murder of a 32-year-old man on Friday night in Manhattan, local officials and gay rights groups will rally Monday night to demand an end to hate crimes.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and other elected officials will join LGBT groups and other community members to march to the site of Friday's shooting and denounce hate violence.

Marc Carson, 32, was shot and killed in the West Village at about midnight on Friday. The suspected gunman, 33-year-old Elliott Morales, allegedly shouted anti-gay slurs at Carson before pulling out a gun and shooting him in the face near the corner of West Eighth Street and Sixth Avenue.

Gun deaths in the city declined by more than 30 percent between 2000 and 2011, a new Health Department study shows.

There were 524 firearm-related murders in 2000, compared with 366 in 2011, according to the study. The nation overall saw no decline during the same period, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in his radio address Sunday.

"Our success at keeping guns off our streets has meant that our city's overall firearms fatality rate is less than half the rate in the rest of the country, and it's markedly lower than that of other major cities," Bloomberg said.

The number of injuries caused by guns during the same 11-year period also declined, falling 21 percent.

The mayor credited the city's tough gun possession laws for the declines, as well as the "smart, proactive policing that makes it much more likely that if you break our city's gun laws, you'll be caught."

Despite the fall in firearm deaths, gun violence remains a serious problem in the city, Bloomberg noted. Neighborhoods such as East New York, Crown Heights, Central Harlem and the South Bronx have the highest numbers of firearm deaths and injuries in the city, with rates twice the city's average, the study found.

Firearms are also the leading cause of death for men aged 15 to 24 in those communities.

"We're working every day to address this epidemic by targeting police resources where they're most needed and implementing the same proactive law enforcement strategies that have proven so effective citywide," the mayor said.

Film critic Roger Ebert has died, the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper said in a Twitter posting on Thursday.

Ebert, 70, who had lost his ability to speak and eat after surgeries for thyroid and salivary gland cancer in 2002 and 2003, said earlier this week that his cancer had returned. [embedgallery id = 130566] [related tag = movies]

"It is with a heavy heart we report that legendary film critic Roger Ebert (@ebertchicago) has passed away," the newspaper where Ebert worked for decades said on Twitter.

"There is a hole that can't be filled. One of the greats has left us. Roger Ebert has passed away at the age of 70," the Chicago Sun-Times added.

Wednesday, Ebert announced he was once again battling cancer again and that he planned to scale back his writing by taking a "leave of presence" from his more than four-decade career.

"I must slow down now, which is why I'm taking what I like to call 'a leave of presence,'" Ebert said in a blog entry.

He gained national prominence with the late Gene Siskel on the television show "At the Movies with Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert," coining the phrase "Two Thumbs Up," until Siskel's death in 1999. He later teamed with critic Richard Roeper but quit for health reasons.

Forbes dubbed Ebert the most powerful pundit in America in 2007.

Ebert, 70, who had lost his ability to speak and eat after surgeries for thyroid and salivary gland cancer in 2002 and 2003, said earlier this week that his cancer had returned.

<img src="http://www.metro.us/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/2267573_10-191x143.jpg" class="attachment-slideshow-callout-thumb wp-post-image" alt="Roger Ebert receives a special award of recognition at the American Society of Cinematographers 17th Annual Outstanding Achievement Awards in 2003.

“It is with a heavy heart we report that legendary film critic Roger Ebert (@ebertchicago) has passed away,” the newspaper where Ebert worked for decades said on Twitter.

“There is a hole that can’t be filled. One of the greats has left us. Roger Ebert has passed away at the age of 70,” the Chicago Sun-Times added.

Wednesday, Ebert announced he was once again battling cancer again and that he planned to scale back his writing by taking a “leave of presence” from his more than four-decade career.

“I must slow down now, which is why I’m taking what I like to call ‘a leave of presence,’” Ebert said in a blog entry.

He gained national prominence with the late Gene Siskel on the television show “At the Movies with Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert,” coining the phrase “Two Thumbs Up,” until Siskel’s death in 1999. He later teamed with critic Richard Roeper but quit for health reasons.

Forbes dubbed Ebert the most powerful pundit in America in 2007.

Shain Gandee, the former trash collector who found fame as the star of the MTV reality hit “Buckwild,” was found dead along with his uncle and an unidentified person in a truck in West Virginia Monday morning. Shain was last heard from around 3 a.m. on Sunday at a local bar, when he and his uncle told people they planned to go 4-wheeling. The truck where they were found was stuck deep in mud, leading investigators to think the three died of carbon monoxide poisoning. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them,” MTV said in a statement, saying Shain “touched everyone he met.”

“Glee” star in rehab
"Glee” star Cory Monteith, 30, has “voluntarily admitted himself to a treatment facility” his representative told People magazine. The reason for the rehab stay is unspecified. He reportedly checked in Monday morning. Monteith, 30, plays Finn Hudson on the hit Fox series. His girlfriend and costar on the series, Lea Michele, 26, gave the following quote to People: “I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this. I am grateful and proud he made this decision.” Monteith has struggled with substance abuse in the past. In a 2011 interview with Parade magazine, Monteith admitted to a rehab stay when he was just 19. “I burned a lot of bridges,” he said. “I was out of control.” At the time, he said he had a “serious problem” and was using “anything and everything, as much as possible.” “Glee” is currently filming their latest season and has two more episodes left to shoot. Deadline Hollywood reports that filming will continue and Finn’s absence will be explained through plot lines. [related tag = celebrities]

Tick-tock goes the Bieber
The clock is ticking on Justin Bieber's career, according to top music manager Peter Mensch, who reps acts like Metallica and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Mensch doesn't see much of a future for the Canadian pop star after a month of hospitalizations, canceled concerts and dust-ups with the paparazzi. "His manager, Scooter Braun, is scared s---less. I don't know what Bieber's problem is. His career is over in three years anyway," Mensch tells the Sun. "I'd take Bieber to the woodshed and spank him."

The red tide of Chávez, who often accompanied the deceased Hugo Chávez in his shows of force on the street, was deployed Wednesday in Caracas. But this time it didn’t sing nor shout. It only cried. There were only tears and Ali Primera’s, Victor Jara’s or Silvio Rodriguez’s of Venezuela music seemed to live in a city again split in two: half of Caracas showed its pain while another half decided to close the doors of their businesses in a heavy and dense environment, even tense at some points. [embedgallery id = 118538]

The epicenter was Bolivarian Carlos Arvelo Military Hospital. At 10:30 came the coffin from where Chávez has allegedly spent the last days of convalescence. Still in the hospital doors, the tears of Chavez's mother, while next to the coffin, touched many of the soldiers who carried it. Elena cried while listening to the priest preaching: "He who believes in you, Lord, shall never die." [related tag = Hugo Chavez]

Chaos, pushing and dozens of people dressed in red walked next to the wooden box with the remains of the charismatic leader. The national anthem accompanied the output before starting a tour of the streets to the Military Academy. Here, he will be veiled until Friday, when there will be a state funeral attended by all the great leaders of Latin America. On Saturday, the remains of the coup commander will be buried in the shade of a tree in his native Barinas.

The coffin was placed in an open vehicle and after him went thousands of people dressed in red. Among them, walked the new interim president Nicolás Maduro, who, thanks to his height, stood out from the mass and walked in sadness. Maduro is called to lead the country until the next general election, which will be held between 4 and 8 weeks. In the polls, he’ll face Henrique Capriles, the opposition leader.

<img src="http://www.metro.us/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/chavez10-191x143.jpg" class="attachment-slideshow-callout-thumb wp-post-image" alt="In this handout photo provided by Ministry of Information and Communication from Venezuela, the Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez smiles while reads the Granma daily in a Cuban hospital accompanied by his daughters on February 15, 2013 in Havana, Cuba.
The epicenter was Bolivarian Carlos Arvelo Military Hospital. At 10:30 came the coffin from where Chávez has allegedly spent the last days of convalescence. Still in the hospital doors, the tears of Chavez’s mother, while next to the coffin, touched many of the soldiers who carried it. Elena cried while listening to the priest preaching: “He who believes in you, Lord, shall never die.”

“He’s gone physically, but he left a seed we, the youth, reap today to not abandon the revolutionary struggle anymore,” explained an excited young woman who, under the intense sun of Caracas, was wearing a shirt with the eyes of Chávez enshrined.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has died after a two-year battle with cancer, ending the socialist leader's 14-year rule of the South American country, Vice President Nicolas Maduro said in a televised speech.

The flamboyant 58-year-old leader had undergone four operations in Cuba for a cancer that was first detected in his pelvic region in mid-2011. His last surgery was on December 11 and he had not been seen in public since.

[embedgallery id =118538]

"It's a moment of deep pain," Maduro, accompanied by senior ministers, said, his voice choking.

Chavez easily won a new 6-year term at an election in October and his death will devastate millions of supporters who adored his charismatic style, anti-U.S. rhetoric and oil-financed policies that brought subsidized food and free health clinics to long-neglected slums.

Detractors, however, saw his one-man style, gleeful nationalizations and often harsh treatment of opponents as evidence of an egotistical dictator whose misplaced statist economics wasted a historic bonanza of oil revenues.

A year after the shooting death of an unarmed black teenager in this central Florida town, there is a small memorial, a new police chief and an effort to improve race relations.

Trayvon Martin, 17, was gunned down on February 26, 2012, as he walked to his father's fiancee's home in one of Sanford's gated communities. The man accused of his killing, George Zimmerman, 28, a white Hispanic on neighborhood watch, is set to be tried on June 10.

A judge could grant immunity to Zimmerman at a pre-trial hearing on April 29 under Florida's controversial Stand Your Ground law, which allows people to use lethal force in self defense if they are in fear of serious bodily harm.

Martin's death drew top-tier civil rights leaders, such as the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, who brought a national spotlight to this town just north of Orlando and not far from Disney World.

That spotlight forced the town of 53,000 to confront police work that seemed to be a throwback to the days of separate and resolutely unequal racial sensibilities.

"This situation, with all eyes on Sanford is making them (city leaders) do something about it now," said Cindy Philemon, 49, who helps run the local black heritage museum and welcome center.

A year later Martin's family says it does not want the case considered in racial terms. "We don't want people to see this as a black kid. I want people to see this as a teenager ... who was walking, minding his own business," Martin's mother, Sabrina Fulton, told the NPR radio show "Tell Me More" on Monday night.

Despite the pain of losing her son, Fulton said she was glad that a debate had opened up about Florida's Stand Your Ground law.

The family is backing an amendment to the law seeking to restrict its application. "You can't follow, pursue and chase anyone, be the aggressor, have a confrontation with him, shoot and kill him, and then go home to your bed and nothing happens," she said.

During the weekend, volunteers in the black community hastily worked to complete a modest memorial of stuffed animals, cards and crosses in time to remember the first anniversary of Martin's shooting. It has also become a way for Sanford to remember the many other black victims of violence whose stories largely went untold.

City Manager Norton Bonaparte, who is black, said Sanford had begun to tackle deep-seated problems between police and the black community that were exposed in public forums after Martin's death.

"In honoring Trayvon's life, we have to make ourselves a better community," Bonaparte said.

The police chief at the time of Martin's shooting lost his job over criticism that his department and prosecutors chose not to charge or arrest Zimmerman.

The new chief starts his job in April.

"Now, it's like the police are getting more involved in being with the community," Philemon said. "They are starting to do their part in interacting with us. They say there is not as many shootings as there once was."

Another resident, Thelma Holmes, 62, agreed saying, "It is better than what it was before, because we had a lot of killings of young men ... The people and the police, they're both trying."

Trayvon's death will not be forgotten.

"It started people to come forward. So his death is not going to be in vain," Philemon said. "And he will always be remembered."

Martin's parents and lawyers will be in New York City, not Sanford, to hold a candlelight vigil on Tuesday night.

Troubled country star Mindy McCready has reportedly committed suicide at her home in Heber Springs, Ark.

Andrea Canning, a reporter with NBC Dateline, tweeted, “Just got a call from Mindy McCready's best friend that she shot and killed herself this evening. My heart breaks for her two boys. RIP”

A source told E! news that neighbors heard gunshots at her house and called the police. "She shot herself and the dog," the source said.

McCready, who sold over three million albums during her heyday in the 90s, has now mainly been known for her personal troubles. A little over a month ago, her boyfriend, the record producer David Wilson, died from a gunshot wound; although his death was ruled a suicide, the investigation is still open. McCready's two children, Zander, 6, and Zayne, 9-months-old, were then taken from the singer's home by authorities.

McCready, who appeared on "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" in 2010 had attempted suicide twice before, in 2005 and 2008.

As the body of a Staten Island wife and mother who was killed while traveling alone in Turkey was flown back home on Thursday, the circumstances surrounding her tragic death remain a mystery.

Sarai Sierra was found brutally beaten and killed last Saturday near ancient walls in Istanbul, after she never made it on her flight home on Jan. 21. At least 24 people have been questioned and subjected to DNA tests, but no arrests have been made, according to The Daily News.

Reports that Sierra had a sexual encounter with a Turkish man two days before her body was found, but prosecutors say they are not concerned with it.

A wake has been scheduled for Valentine’s Day, on the 15th anniversary of the day her husband, Steven, proposed to her. The funeral will be held the next day.

Former New York City mayor Ed Koch died on Friday at age 88 after a year of repeated hospitalizations, a spokesman for Koch said.

As mayor from 1978 to 1989, the forceful, quick-witted Koch, with his trademark phrase "How'm I Doing?," was a polarizing figure and the city's constant promoter.

Koch died at about 2 a.m. (0700 GMT) at New York-Presbyterian hospital, the spokesman for Koch said.

Koch was credited with lifting New York from crushing economic crises to a level of prosperity that was the envy of other U.S. cities. Under his leadership, the city regained its fiscal footing and undertook a building renaissance.

But his three terms in office were also marked by racial tensions, corruption among many of his political cronies, the rise in AIDS and HIV, homelessness and a high crime rate. In 1989, he lost the Democratic nomination for what would have been a record fourth term as mayor

Grammy organizers plan to mark the first anniversary of the sudden death of Whitney Houston with a behind-the-scenes TV show on how they scrambled to honor the singer just 24 hours after she died.

The Recording Academy said on Thursday that the hour-long special entitled "The Grammys Will Go On: A Death in the Family" will air on February 9, the day before the 2013 Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

Houston, who sold hundreds of millions of records and scored the mega hits "I Will Always Love You" and "I Wanna Dance with Somebody," drowned in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel room on February 11 2012 - the eve of last year's Grammy Awards show.

Houston's unexpected death at age 48 cast a shadow over the event, which quickly changed its program to pay homage to the soaring voice that had dominated the Grammys in decades past.

Singer and actress Jennifer Hudson performed a medley of Houston's hits at last year's Grammys, and rapper and host LL Cool J opened the show with a prayer.

The TV special on broadcaster CBS features rehearsals and interviews with artists - including Hudson, Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift - and the show's producers in the hours before and after Houston's death.

Veteran pornography actor Ron Jeremy, one of the industry's biggest stars, was in intensive care and undergoing surgery for an aneurysm near his heart in Los Angeles, his manager said on Wednesday.

Jeremy, 59, the star of more than 2,000 adult films, drove himself to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles early on Wednesday after suffering from chest pains.

"He just felt chest pains, like a very heavy weight," Jeremy's manager Mike Esterman told Reuters.

"He is being worked on for an aneurysm near his heart," Esterman added.

Jeremy, nicknamed the "Hedgehog" for his short and hirsute body and known for his large mustache, parlayed his porn star fame into mainstream celebrity status by appearing on the American reality television series "The Surreal Life" in 2004, and by being featured in an advertisement by animal-rights advocates PETA.

His memoir, "The Hardest (Working) Man in Showbiz," was published in 2007 by HarperCollins, a division of News Corp.

A doctor pleaded not guilty to manslaughter charges after prosecutors said he illegally prescribed dangerous painkillers, likely leading to at least two deaths.

Stan Xuhui Li was indicted Thursday on 219 counts after an investigation uncovered that he doled out access to xycodone, hydrocodone, fentanyl and Xanax for at least 20 patients at his Flushing clinic, the office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor said. Li would see as many as 100 patients a day as people lined up on the sidewalk of his clinic on weekends and paid for their visits in cash, officials charged.

Seven of Li's patients died of prescription drug overdoses between January 2009 and December 2011, prosecutors said. He faces charges in two of those deaths. Li is accused of writing prescriptions for the the potentially dangerous drugs without conducting proper patient exams or considering alternative treatments.

In one instance, prosecutors said a patient received 15 prescriptions for controlled substances from Li within three months of his overdose death.

Officials said Li ignored signs of addiction in his patients and continued to give them access to prescriptions, even after other doctors or patient family members notified him of non-fatal overdoses.

"Dr. Li preyed on the community by supplying patients with illegal narcotics for cash," Tom O'Donnell of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said. "In essence, the government believes he was little more than a glorified drug dealer."

Li is also accused of defrauding Medicare and Empire BlueCross BlueShield, and trying to dodge an investigation by the New York State Health Department’s Office of Professional Medical Conduct.

Li's charges include manslaughter, reckless endangerment and criminal sale of a prescription for a controlled substance.

The tabloid news photographer whose pictures of a man thrown into the path of a New York City subway train unleashed a maelstrom of criticism said on Wednesday that he was too far from the victim to offer help.

R. Umar Abbasi, a freelance photographer for the New York Post, said he rapidly shot dozens of frames using his flash in a vain effort to alert the train driver to the presence of the stunned victim on the tracks on Monday afternoon.

Seconds later the train struck and killed Ki Suk Han, 58, as he tried to pull himself back up to the platform at the 49th Street station, an incident that has struck a nerve in a city where getting jostled by strangers on crowded subway platforms is a daily occurrence. Han lived in the New York City borough of Queens.

"My condolences to the family, and if I could have, I would have pulled Mr. Han out," Abbasi said on NBC's "Today" show.

The Post, no stranger to controversy over headlines and stories, sparked greater outrage than usual on Tuesday when it featured one of Abbasi's photographs on its front page.

It showed Han trying to pull himself from the tracks and looking into the lights of the oncoming train with the headlines "DOOMED" and "Pushed on the subway track, this man is about to die."

Police were investigating a suspect brought in for questioning on Tuesday who "implicated himself in the incident," according to New York City Police Department spokesman Paul Browne. Police have not identified the suspect, but the Post identified him as Naeem Davis, a 30-year-old street vendor also from Queens.

In a first-person account the Post published on Wednesday, Abbasi said the incident "was one of the most horrible things I have ever seen, to watch that man dying there.

"I didn't even know at all that I had even captured the images in such detail."

Abbasi also took a New York Times reporter back to the scene to re-enact his movements after Han was thrown to the tracks after what appeared to be an argument with another passenger.

Abbasi told The Times that he held his camera outstretched in front of the train, snapping his flash 49 times in a vain attempt to get the train conductor to slow down.

The conductor has been hospitalized for trauma after the incident, the Post and New York Daily News reported.

"People think I had time to set the camera and take photos, and that isn't the case," Abbasi wrote in the Post story.

"The sad part is, there were people who were close to the victim, who watched and didn't do anything," he said. "You can see it in the pictures."

Still, criticism of Abassi and The Post was rife in social media.

"disappointed & disgusted by #NYPost decision to print photo of mans last moment alive, b4 being squished by train," read a tweet from a California Twitter account.

Jazz pianist Dave Brubeck, whose choice of novel rhythms, classical structures and brilliant sidemen made him a towering figure in modern jazz, has died at the age of 91, his longtime manager and producer Russell Gloyd said on Wednesday.

Brubeck died of heart failure on his way to a regular medical exam at Norwalk Hospital, in Norwalk, Conn., said Gloyd.

His Dave Brubeck Quartet put out one of the biggest selling jazz songs of all time: "Take Five," composed by alto saxophonist Paul Desmond. Like many of the group's works, it had an unusual beat -- 5/4 time as opposed to the usual 4/4.

"We play it differently every time we play it," Brubeck told The Philadelphia Inquirer in 2005. "So I never get tired of playing it. That's the beauty of jazz."

"Take Five" was the first million-selling jazz single.

Brubeck injected classical counterpoint, atonal harmonies and modern dissonance into his music, hinting at composers such as Debussy, Bartok, Stravinsky and Bach.

The family of the man who was fatally shoved into the path of a subway train has enlisted legal counsel to investigate the actions taken by the photographer who captured the now-infamous image of Ki-Suk Han seconds before he was killed.

The photograph, taken by R. Umar Abbasi, showed Han gripping the platform, unable to pull himself from the tracks, as a Q train sped toward him at the 49th Street and Seventh Avenue subway station Monday. The image was featured on the cover of the New York Post Tuesday with a headline that read "DOOMED."

Abbasi, a freelance photographer who was on his way from a separate assignment for the Post, said he snapped the photos in an effort to signal the train conductor to stop with his camera flash.

In interviews Wednesday, he said he was too far from Han on the platform to be able to help him in time. Abbasi also said many onlookers were recording video and taking photos on their cell phones as rescuers pulled Han's bloodied body from beneath the train.

Han was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

"We are in the process of conducting an investigation as to the actions taken by the Post photographer and the company, as well as the action taken by transit authorities," Charen Kim, an attorney representing the Han family, told Metro.

She added, "We are trying to perform a thorough investigation before deciding on legal action."

Homeless man Naeem Davis, 30, was charged Wednesday with murder in the second degree after police said he pushed Han into the tracks following a verbal confrontation.

Police picked up Davis near 50th Street and Seventh Avenue, not far from the station where the shocking incident occurred. Davis reportedly confessed in police custody Tuesday to pushing Han and fleeing after he saw the train hit him.

"They are distraught, shocked, upset," Kim said of Han's widow and college-age daughter. "And they are constantly reminded by these photos and videos in graphic detail of their father and husband's death."

Han's funeral was scheduled for Wednesday night in Flushing, Kim said.

Police arrested a driver they say is responsible for a hit and run accident that killed a man and injured a woman this morning.

According to the NYPD, 35-year-old Raul Delacruz and a 24-year-old woman were crossing the intersection of Keap Street and Borinquen Road in Williamsburg around 5 am, when they were both struck by a 2004 Chevy Malibu driven by 27-year-old Adam Recio.

Police responded to a call at the Boulevard Houses on Linden Boulevard in East New York Tuesday night around 11:30 p.m.

4-year-old Halii McCord was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Hours later at 1:30 a.m., officers arrived at 86 West 179 Street in the Bronx after a 911 call about an emotionally disturbed person.

5-year-old Stewart Espinal was found unconscious. He was later pronounced dead at Saint Barnabus Hospital.

The NYPD's top cop said Monday that it will take a grand jury investigation to get to the bottom of a traffic stop that turned deadly last week.

Speaking to reporters just before the Columbus Day parade, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said there are still unanswered questions surrounding the death of Noel Polanco, a 23-year-old member of the Army National Guard who was pulled over by cops for erratic driving along the Grand Central Parkway on October 4.

Hassan Hamdy, a specially-trained detective fired a shot at Polanco, killing him, after he approached his car, later saying he thought Polanco was reaching for a gun. No weapons were found in Polanco's car, however there was a power drill on the floor near his seat.

"It will require what I believe to be a grand jury investigation to determine precisely what happened there," Kelly said today.

In 2011, a grand jury investigation into the NYPD brought to light the ticket-fixing scandal that made headlines. That same year, NYPD officers testified to a grand jury about information leaked to the press in a terror investigation. Queens District Attorney Richard Brown is currently investigating Polanco's death.

Meanwhile, public advocate Bill de Blasio also called for answers over the weekend about the incident.

"None of what we have learned in the past two days has justified the tragic death of Noel Polanco," de Blasio said. "His family and his community are grappling with how this could have happened to a young man who made so many right decisions, including serving his country in the National Guard. The Queens District Attorney is right to investigate. Nothing less than the full truth is acceptable."

Last time a proposal caught our eye, it was a lip dub out of Portland that literally melted our hearts with cuteness.

Today, though, our attention is drawn to a proposal on the opposite end of the spectrum. A man in Russia faked his own gruesome death, complete with a fake accident scene, before getting down on one knee.

"He said he wanted to make her see what her life would feel without him," the user who uploaded the video said.

The clip, which was posted on Live Leak today, shows the man covered in fake blood and bandages before he gets into an ambulance. His girlfriend rushes away in tears, under the impression that her boyfriend just died, and he then follows her with balloons and flowers (like that's going to make up for it?).

At first, she furiously pushes him away. But she can't resist her undead boyfriend for long, and her demeanor changes when he gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring.

Spoiler Alert: She says yes. Seriously.
