Gender-bending performance art will bring some feisty New York City fashion to the Revere Hotel this weekend.

“One Night in Bartschland: A Party & Pop-up Concert” with nightlife figure Susanne Bartsch, will happen at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Revere Hotel’s Space 57.

The event will raise money for the Institute of Contemporary Art as well as One Fund Boston, and celebrate the hotel’s one-year anniversary.

Revere Hotel Spokesman Bryan Barbieri describes the pop-up party as “an over-the-top spectacle featuring wild fashions worn by colorful characters and a cast of New York nightlife socialites and performance artists.”

Bartsch has staged over-the-top and avant-garde extravaganzas in cities from New York to Toyko for the past four decades, and currently holds court at Marquee NYC, along with the Soho Grand Hotel and the Standard Hotel.

This year’s Major League Baseball All-Star game will take place in New York City, but the focus won’t be entirely on the field.

Anyone can run anywhere they want between now and 2:50 p.m. Monday, which is a week to the minute from when the two bombs detonated.

Participants can run or walk a 5K and record their time, then send it in Monday through the group’s instructions.

Winners will be selected by a random process, and all proceeds will benefit The One Fund Boston, a group set up by the Massachusetts governor and Boston mayor to help bombing victims.

The race was announced by NYC Runs founder Steve Lastoe.

“We are incredibly moved and disturbed by the events that happened at the finish line in Boston,” he told group members. “Part of the great legacy of running is that we continue to give back.”

Lastoe was at the Boston marathon Monday and told Metro about his experience.
